Individual Details
(1893 - )
A William Maxwell of Brackloon, Cootehall worked as a labourer for a Colonel Kirkwood prior to the colonel's having to lay off his workers in 1930. This comes from an account in The Leitrim Observer of 3 October 1931 of a court case that resulted in Mr. Maxwell being fined five shillings for having affixed used insurance stamps to his unemployment card. It is possible that this William Maxwell was William Maxwell above.
