Individual Details
Clement BOOKER
(1844 - 17 May 1929)
Clement worked as a stained glass artist. He moved to Youghal in the late 19th century, possibly to work for Michael Joseph Cunningham Buckley who had worked with Clement's brother Alex in London and who had set up a branch of his stained glass business in Youghal.
At the time of the 1901 census of Ireland, the widowered Clement was living on Friar St. in Youghal, Co. Cork with his 25-year-old daughter, Theresa. There is no trace of Clement or Theresa in the 1911 census although he spent the rest of his life in Youghal. He died in 1929 aged 85 at his home, 1 Gibraltar Terrace.
