Cecil Meigel ARRIETA

Cecil worked as a commercial traveller for a wallboard manufacturing company (according to the 1939 Register). He served with the RAF (Royal Air Force) during World War II and spent time as a prisoner of war after his plane was shot down in Germany, his pilot having been killed.
In 1953 Cecil changed his surname to Ryan (his wife's surname) by deed poll.
The family later emigrated to Canada.
