Symon Jacobse Van Winkle
(Bef 24 July 1653 - 24 February 1732)
Symon and his siblings became interested in the Acquackanonk Patent and founded the Acquackanonk Dutch Reformed Church. The area was first settled in 1678 by Dutch colonists. The township of Acquackanonk was founded in 1693 by the British as part of the newly established Province of New Jersey.
