The name of Margaret's mother on her death certificate is Ann Hanrahan, but the marriage record says the mother's name is Margaret. But the Ann Hanrahan rings a bell somewhere in my memory so I think that is correct; that also fits with some information Mom gave me about her family which gave Margaret Alice's mother's name as Ann. Ann Hanrahan is also consistent with other information. For example, Margaret's younger brother William (born 1878) was living with Margaret and John Sutton during the 1900 US Census. I found a birth record for William Heaney born 1 March 1878 in Galway to Michael Heaney and Ann Hanrahan. There are about 6 children in the family of Michael Heaney and Ann Hanrahan that I could find (born in that stair-step fashion -- 1872, 1874, 1876, 1878). Unfortunately, I did not yet locate one for Margaret; there is what seems to be a substitute birth record issued in Boston but giving her place of birth as Ireland in the year 1870.
