The book "Harts of Randolph County" says her lineage can be traced to Charlamagne, William the Conqueror and nine signers of the Magna Charta.
In 1788 they moved to Beverley, Randlph Co., Va. now West Va. & in 1836, she was granted a pension for his services during the Rev. War.
