Individual Details
Joseph Ballard
(Abt 1645 - 20 September 1722)
In 1692 during the Salem witch hysteria, Joseph's wife Elizabeth became ill; she died in July, 1692. Joseph consulted two of the Salem witch accusing girls (Ann Putnam, Jr. and Mary Walcott) to help determine if witchcraft was responsible. This resulted in three women (mother, daughter, and granddaughter) being accused of witchcraft. http://www.legendsofamerica.com/ma-andover.html
