Death record states: John, pastor, –––––. [1st pastor of church in Chelmsford, b. St. James, Suffolk Co., ENG CR1; b, South Elmham, Suffolk Co., ENG, ab't 1601. In 1637 he came to New England. In 1644 he gathered a church at Wenham, and continued as it pastor until 1656 when he removed with the greater part of his church to Clelmsford where he ministered both as pastor and physician, d.
