John Furman/Firmin
(1588 - 1642)
John Furman (or Firmin) emigrated from England in 1630 and settled in Watertown. He was married twice. The name of his first wife is unknown; there were three children from that marriage. His second wife was Susan Warren and there were six children from that marriage. All of his children were born in England. John's son Josiah was a servant to John Winthrop in the 1630's and then relocated to Long Island. It is also reported that John went to Long Island, but there is uncertainty about that and where and when he died.
