I now have a Margaret Dix that fits the bill. There is a marriage record for Margaret Dix and William Stone for 18 August 1696 in Woodbridge. The records are taken from Woodbridge and Vicinity: The Story of a New Jersey Township, Rev. Joseph W. Dally, New Brunswick, NJ, 1873. There is also a birth record for daughter Mary Stone (born to Margaret and William Stone) in that same volume. The Tappan-Toppan Genealogy also gives the parents of Mary Stone who married Abraham Tappan as William Stone and Margaret Dix (p. 112).
