Lubbert Gerritsen lived at Gravesend, L.I., until after his youngest child was born. In 1661, he bought a house and land at Harlem, NY, from Matthys Boon. Lubbert was chosen adelborst in 1665, and held several town offices afterward, serving as overseer the year before he died.His property was shown in an inventory taken 27 Nov 1673.His real estate at Harlem was sold, at a public sale held 5 July 1674, one lot with tillable land, house and barn to Gerrit-sen’s stepson, Conrad Hendricksen for 875 fl.; another lot, with meadows and a garden, for a building plot between Cornelis Jansen and Joost Van Oblinus, was sold to David Demarest, Sr., for 925 fl.
