Immigration
He came first to Duxbury and was in Bridgewater by 1645.Marriage
Martha and John had seven children.Death
John, " one of the original proprietors of Bridgewater in 1645 and one of the first settlers," _____, 1700.The probate records for John Howard are dated 1701. There is not a will with the records, but the probate names are Martha Howard, John Howard, Thomas Snell, and Edward Mitchell. Edward Mitchell is guardian of the younger children. Thomas Snell seems to be an administrator.
Another probate related document is signed (or marked) in October 1701 by Martha Howard, John Howard, Jonathan Howard, Ephraim Howard, Edward Fobes, Elizabeth Fobes, Zacheus Packard on behalf of himself and his wife Sarah, Henry Kingman on behalf of himself and wife Bethiah, and Edward Mitchell guardian for the younger children. Other signers are Thomas Snell and Elisha Wadsworth but these seems to be witnesses or in an administrative capacity, not as heirs.
