Hannah Ames
(26 November 1751 - 20 December 1831)
Hannah Ames believed in witchcraft. Once, when a table tipped over and toppled the crockery on the table, she believed the table was bewitched. When the milk curdles, she threw it in the oven to drive the witches away. (Source: “Early Records of the Ames Family of Andover” compiled by Charlotte Helen Abbott)
