Mary Marshall
(Abt 1642 - 14 January 1715/16)
There are two Thomas Marshalls of about the same age living in the same area and both having children, so I am not yet sure which Thomas is the father of Mary. However, there is a 1896 article in the Andover Townsman which suggests that Mary is the daughter of Thomas Marshall and Joan. This is from the article (Andover Townsman, August 28, 1896, p. 2).
Mary Holt, wife of Thomas Johnson (tidbit: Thomas is the brother of our ancestor Timothy), died in 1700, and in his seventieth year, he took a younger helpmeet, Damaris Waite, widow of John Marshall of Billerica. This was her third marriage, and she had been John's third wife. This young Malden widow seems to have brought to Andover the aged Marshalls, Thomas and Joan, in their 96th year to finish life with Robert Russell and Mary their daughter.
