She moved with her family moved to Southern California in 1953 when she was about 10. Phyllis resided in Merced County for the past 49 years. Phyllis worked at Foster Farms, in Livingston CA, for a total of almost 30 years. She was a member of both the Livingston Lions Club and Kiwanis, as well as volunteering for the Red Ribbon Committee.
Phyllis loved daffodils, See's Candies, Columbia State Park,and the color orange. She was well known for her "Howdy, howdy,howdy" and "Howdy Doody" greetings and rarely said goodbye without an "I love you", whether you were family, friend, or even recent acquaintance.
Phyllis was such a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister,aunt, and friend. She touched the lives of so many with her smiles and love,full of sunshine and light. She will be missed but never forgotten as she is now dancing in her Heavenly field of daffodils, forever free of the Huntington's Disease that took her from us way too soon.
