Marlin S. Wyse, 79, formerly of Wayland, died Saturday, January 13, 2001, in Greencroft Healthcare Center in Goshen, Indiana.

Services were Tuesday, January 16, in Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Wayland, with the Reverands Roger Farmer and Scott Jones of Ames officiating. Burial was in Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Born February 17, 1921 in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of Samuel and Emma (Saltzman) Wyse. He was a lifelong member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church and served in Civilian Public Service in Colorado and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Wyse was united in marriage to Aldine Eichelberger August 11, 1946 and he farmed in the Wayland area for more than 46 years before moving to Goshen in 1992.

Survivors include his wife, Aldine of Middlebury, Indiana; three daughters, Bonnie and husband Rich Kauffman of Middlebury, Marla and husband Wilbur Mast of Goshen, Indiana, and Lynette and husband Craig Gingerich of Kalona; five grandchildren and one brother, Eldon Wyse of Wayland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Scott Wyse, and one sister, Lorene Fisher.

Memorials may be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
