Delila B. Wyse, 92, of Archbold, and formerly of Stryker, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
Born near Stryker on March 3, 1913, she was the daughter of Edith (Short) and Adam J. Short. On Dec. 12, 1937, she married Rolland Wyse, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Prior to her retirement, she and her husband had operated the former Polly's Drive-In in Stryker for many years. She was a member of Pine Grove Mennonite Church near Stryker.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Skip (Linda) Kinnan of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Mrs. Vic (Jeanette) Miller of Defiance; a son, Richard, (and wife, Linda) Wyse of Denver, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Fairlawn Chapel at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the chapel, with Pastor Charles Gautsche and Pastor Walter Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the Lockport Cemetery near Stryker. Memorials may be made to Fairlawn Haven or to the Pine Grove Mennonite Church building fund. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold is in charge of arrangements.
