Deceased Name: Roberta Wyse
Roberta Wyse of Wayland died Friday, July 26, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.

Born in Wayland, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Edith Roth Shaffer.

She married James Wyse in Wayland. He died in 2000.

She graduated from Wayland High School and cosmetology school in Burlington. Mrs. Wyse was a farm wife and operated a beauty salon out of her home for many years. She enjoyed reading and her pets.

Survivors include her daughter Kendra Wyse of Wayland.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Eicher Mennonite Church in rural Wayland.

The funeral for Mrs. Wyse will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Eicher Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Robert Hartzler officiating.

Burial will follow at the Center Cemetery in rural Wayland.

A memorial fund has been established for the Eicher Mennnonite Church and Parkview Home in Wayland.
