Avon Marie ROTH

Avon M. Wyse, age 73 years, of Pettisville, passed away suddenly Monday morning, Aug. 17, 2009, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.
She was born Aug. 8, 1936, at Wauseon, the daughter of Earl and Nola (Short) Roth. She married Robert Yoder on Feb. 16, 1958, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1966.
She married Donald Seiler and then Herbert Wyse on Oct. 14, 1984, and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2004.
A resident of Pettisville 48 years, she was the Treasurer of Pettisville Schools for 27 years before retiring in 2005. She also worked at F&M State Bank and was a seamstress.
She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church.
She is survived by four children, Lynette (Bill) Fricke of Pettisville, C. Kevin (Linda) Yoder of Harrisonburg, Va., Jan (Brent) Gnagey of Archbold, and Craig Yoder of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; Don Seiler's children, Richard (Joyce) Seiler, Sandy (Gary) Rice, Todd (Lisa) Seiler; Herb Wyse's children, Debra (Mike) McCoy and Daniel Wyse; nine grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; three sisters, twin Mona (Don) Riegsecker, and Karen (Roger) Roth, both of Archbold, and Sue Roth of Stryker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brother, Eugene Roth; and Herbert's daughter, Diane Wyse.
Memorial services were held on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastor Stuart Rex officiating. Interment preceded in the Pettisville Cemetery.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the Archbold Evangelical Church, Pettisville School Foundation, or Pettisville P.A.R.C.
