ELIZABETH MORRIS DIES AT AGE 94. Mrs. Elizabeth Morris, widow of Walter Morris died at 7:30 am Sunday at her home 1319 South Twenty-second street. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lock, born in Ontario, Canada May 26, 1887. Mrs. Morris came to Lafayette when five years old, arriving by canal boat. Her marriage to Walter Morris took place at Crane Station in 1859. At the close of the Civil war they moved to Lafayette. Her husband died in 1895. She has been a member of the M.E. Church for 80 years an attended St. Pauls in later life. The following children survived: Richard Morris with whom she made her home. Crouse Morris and Clarence Morris, Battleground. Mrs. George Stover, West Point. Eleven grandchildren and eight grandchildren also survive. The body was removed from Rogers & Smith undertaking parlors to the Richard Morris home Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Congress Street M.E. church, Rev. C. L. Harper, Chaplin at the the Soldiers Home and Rev. R. W. Knight officiating. Interment will be made in Springvale cemetery. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
