Well Known Searcy County Woman Passes
Mrs. Rhoda (Hollabaugh) Shipman, aged 84 years, died at her home in Leslie, Sunday afternoon. She was born and reared In Leslie and had lived there all her life. Mrs. Shipman was first married to George Hollabaugh and three sons and three daughters survive by her first marriage. They are C. A. Hollabaugh and Frank Hollabaugh of Leslie, T.A. Hollabaugh of Russellville, Mrs. J. N. Shipman and Mrs. Tennie Shipman of Leslie and Mrs. J. S. Wellman of North Little Rock. Later she was married to James A. Shipman and two sons survive by this marriage. They are Bert Shipman of Memphis. Tenn., and Dow Shipman of Russellville. She is also survived by three step-sons, T. L. Shipman of Marshall, W. F. Shipman of Cleveland, Okla., and S. L. Shipman of BerryviIle, Ark., and by 27 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Leslie, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Claude Jenkins and, Rev. 0. R. Findley, Pastors of the Baptist and Methodist churches, respectively, assisted by Rev. T. C. Chambliss, pastor of the Methodist Church of Marshall. Burial was in the Leslie cemetery.
