Son of James Jameson and Martha Crow Jameson. Born 1784, in Greenbriar County, Virginia, Died between 1860-1870 in Searcy County, Arkansas. Greenbriar was a portion of Virginia that withdrew from the original state during the Civil War in 1863 and formed West Virginia.
John and Susanna Cape married March 26, 1809 in Cumberland Co., Kentucky. Before 1815, the John Jamison family moved from Kentucky to Illinois then prior to 1830 they moved to Washington County, Missouri. After 1834, the family moved to Searcy County, Arkansas and settled at the mouth of the Buffalo River. There is still in that area a “Jameson Hill” and “Jameson Creek”.
John and Susanna had 13 children:

2. James C., born July 13, 1812 in Kentucky, married Dulcinda Wyatt, died October 28, 1892.

4. Boy, born 1815 in Kentucky or Illinois
5. Mary “Polly”, born 1819 in Illinois, married James H. Love, died between 1850-1854.
