Peggy Valentine, age 84, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2014, at Brookside Nursing Home in Springfield Missouri.
She was born November 29, 1929, in Bruno-Pyatt, Arkansas, the daughter of F.M. and Elsie (Manley) Clary.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Irene Holland, Natalie Felkner, Francis Erwin, Ruth Ann Magness and her twin sister, Betty Erwin; two sons, Johnny Dale Drewry and Charles David Valentine; and her beloved husband, Carl Valentine.
Mrs. Valentine was raised in Arkansas and married the love of her life, Carl Valentine, whom she adored into her final days. Peggy worked 25 years at Walters Department Store and finally retired from White Rodgers- Emerson Electric at the age of 73. Peggy loved animals, especially her dog Carly, and her many cats.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Cindy J. Stone; her son, Gary Lynn Gale; her step-daughter, Sheila Wilkes; and her best friend, Judy Henderson. Peggy is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Christi Gale, Brandon Honeycutt, Kayla Stone, Isaac Stone, John Drewry, David Drewry, Anthony Silva, Nancy Silva, Teresa Gaile, Elizabeth Lynn Gale, Matthew Gale, Nicholas Gale and Peter Gale; and 3 great-grandchildren, Lacy, Macky, and A. Z.
Open visitation at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 28, 2014, at Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John King, Denzel Stringer, Don Magness, Ralph Skaggs, Dicky Dill, Brandon Honeycutt and Isaac Stone.
