Acfred de Carcassonne was Count of Carcassonne from 908 to 933.

Son of Olibia II of Carcassonne , he succeeds his brother Bencio of Carcassonne .
He left an important legacy to the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Montolieu founded around 800, made up of land close to the abbey (Brousses, Lauzertac, Moussoulens, Ressabits) 1 .
According to a genealogical hypothesis, he would have married a named Arsinde, from whom he would have had Arsinde of Carcassonne , who married Arnaud I of Carcassonne . [ref. necessary] . The links between, on the one hand, Acfred de Carcassonne and on the other hand, Arnaud and Arsinde de Carcassonne, are however not proven.
