Occupation
When Castle Rock became the county seat in 1874, New Memphis withered and the hotel was moved to Perry Street near the train depot in Castle Rock. The hotel was known as the Harris Hotel, The Castle Rock Hotel and the City Hotel.Records in the Biography File indicate the hotel has been designated a historic building by the Colorado Historical Society.
