Marriage
Boyd's mortgaged part of the home ranch to pay for musical education for his wife, and she went on to become a prima donna in Paris under the stage name Mme. Marguerite Starelle and refused to return to ranch life. Boyd divorced her and faced litigation from J.W. Bowles who tried to claim trhe ranch as trhe debt was not satisfied.Endnotes
