Obituary:
Eula T. Hoffpauir, 95, of Orange, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005. Mrs. Hoffpauir donated her remains for the advancement of medical research. Born in Abbeville, Louisiana on April 3, 1910, to Adolph and Augustine Trahan, she had lived most of her life in Orange. Mrs. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Donald Hoffpauir; son, John A. Hoffpauir; brothers, Crip Trahan and his wife Sadie, Eli Trahan and his wife Mabel; sister, Beulah Simpson and her husband Arthur. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Watrous and her husband Todd, Donna Kattner and her husband Chris; son, David Hoffpauir and his wife Elaine; grandchildren, Clay Hoffpauir, Jennifer Kattner, John David Kattner, Sharon Meeks; great grandchildren, Blaine and Brynn Hoffpauir, Samantha and Jordan Davis; and her extended family, the children of Margaret Hudnall. Mrs. Hoffpauir was active in her church, Drake Memorial Presbyterian Church and in the work of New Covenant Presbytery. She was also active in community organizations including Golden K, Retired Teachers, and the Red Hat Society. Friends are cordially invited to join the family at a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Drake Memorial Presbyterian Church in Orange.
