Burial
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Euel J.H. Foreman, 87, who passed away on March 8, 2011 at 9:45PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Reverend Tommy Faulk , Pastor of First Assembly of God, will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Foreman, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Hilliard Foreman of Indian Bayou, Louisiana and the former Effie Spell of Indian Bayou, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Foreman, known as "Pappa Doc", was the Owner/Operator of Foreman Trucking leased to Acme and Ace Transportation for 11 years prior to his retirement. He also was the owner of Foreman Wireline Services for over 15 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Crowley for over 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Foreman of Lafayette; one daughter, Deborah Hebert and her husband, John of Lafayette; one son, Michael L. Foreman of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Johnica Hebert, Latrell Granger and her husband, Kenny, Brandon Foreman and his wife, Mika, Delila Melancon and her husband, Cody; nine great grandchildren, Macie, Trevor, Kylie, Bryce, Hagan, Gavin, Makayla, Landon, and Bailey; one brother, Herbert Foreman of Port Arthur, TX; his brother-in-law, Reverend Kenny Foreman and his wife, Shirley of San Jose, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; one son, John Wayne Foreman; and seven siblings. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until service time. Pallbearers will be John Hebert, Brandon Foreman, Roger Foreman, Douglas Foreman, Kenny Granger, and Cody Melancon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Foreman's name to Alzheimer's Research Fund, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453 Personal condolences may be sent to the Foreman family at www.delhommefuneralhome.com.
