Obituary: Claude Stephen Breaux, Sr., with his family at his side, was called to rest on Sunday, March 18, 2007. Mr. Breaux was a native of Ridge, LA and a resident of Chalmette for 38 years. He resided in Slidell since September, 2005.Mr. Breaux was preceded in death by his parents: Eula and Stephen Breaux; sister, Madge Boudreaux, and Florabelle Breaux. Mr. Breaux was the beloved husband of 59 years of Mary Falcon Breaux. Father of Claude ""Sonny'' Breaux, Jr., Kenneth Breaux, Anders ""Andy'' Breaux, Christine Blanchard and Janet Killingsworth. Father-in-law of Leslie Breaux, Pamela Breaux, Kim Breaux, and Bill Killingsworth. Brother of Cecil Haulman. Beloved grandfather of Robbie, Corrie, Todd, Chad, Brian, Rachael, Andy Jr., Jamie, Robert, Meghan, Erin, Emily and Jenny. Great-grandfather of Eliza, Clare, Ethan, and Christian. Mr. Breaux was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving as a ball turret gunner on a B17 bomber, completing over 25 missions with the 8th Air Force. He was a member of the 8th Air Force Memorial Society and the 447th bomb group. Mr. Breaux retired from Domino Sugar. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd, in Slidell. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday, beginning at 9:30am. Burial will be at a later date. Masses or Memorial Gifts may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.
