Burial
Obituary: Crowley--Funeral services for Mr. Elmer Blanchard Hoffpauir, 90, of Crowley will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2011 in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Frank Paul will serve as officiant. Interment will follow in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Hoffpauir passed away on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in a Lafayette hospital. A native and longtime resident of Indian Bayou, Mr. Hoffpauir retired from United Gas Company, where he had worked as a welder for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served the war effort here in the United States. Survivors include his daughters, Belva Ann Hoffpauir Brown and husband, Charlie of Sherman, TX and Glenda Beth Hoffpauir Waldrep and husband, Joe of Manteo, NC; sons, Gary W. Hoffpauir and wife, Shirley of Lafayette and Mitchell W. Hoffpauir and wife, Shirley of Indian Bayou. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Proceeding Mr. Hoffpauir in death were his wife, Ada McLin Hoffpauir, and his parents, Combs and Lela Abshire Hoffpauir.Endnotes
