Obituary: CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Edith Hoffpauir Davenport, 86, who died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 at American Legion Hospital. Reverend John Tidball and Reverend Truman Stagg will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Indian Bayou Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Wednesday from 2 p.m until 10 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Survivors include her two daughters, Bonnie K. Gaspard and her husband Robert and Judith K. Semar, all of Crowley; one son, Charles A. Kelley and his wife Gwen of Crowley; one brother, Warren H. Hoffpauir of Crowley; one sister, Madge H. Cormier of Dequincy; seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Davenport was preceded in death by her husbands, Luther B. Kelley and David Davenport and her parents Howard and Nettie Laurent Hoffpauir. Arrangements have been entrusted to Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home. (Crowley Post-Signal, Dec 2004)
