JOSIE MARY STUBBS, born on December 4, 1933 in Rayne, Louisiana to Conrad and Mabel Hoffpauir. She was one of 14 brothers and sisters. She married Roy Stubbs Jr. on January 10, 1958. They made their home in Alvin, TX for the past 21 years. She worked 19 years for San Jacinto College as a supervisor, and she held that position up until the day she got ill in November 2000. She accepted the Lord as her Savior on November 13, 2002, and went to be with him on September 1, 2003. She is survived by her husband Roy Stubbs Jr. of Alvin; children, Linda Stakes Tipton and husband Anthony, of Georgetown, TX, Alan Stakes and wife Daphne' of Deer Park, TX, Duane Stubbs of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Dawnette Stakes Harris and husband Doug, Tammara Stakes Golden and husband Nathan, Renee Stubbs, and Sandy Stubbs; great granddaughters, Morghan, Bayleigh, and Chloe' Golden; great grandsons, Dawson and Alan Harris; sisters, Marie Richard and husband Rodney, Phyllis Besse and husband Dan, Betty Buquet and husband Adren, Sybil Buquet; and brothers, Gerald Hoffpauir and wife Henrietta, and Edward Hoffpauir. The family will receive guests from 6-9 Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Grand View Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2003 at Grand View Funeral Home with interment following at Grand View Memorial Park.
