Burial

Obituary: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mary Miller Deaville Dietz, 70, who died October 24, 2009 in Iota. Fr. Mikel Polson will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 5 p.m. to the time of service on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Iota Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Willie Dietz of Iota; two daughters, Marlyn Guidry and her husband Russell, and Suzanne Leckelt and her husband Paul both of Iota; four sons, Tommy Deaville, Sr., Rickey Deaville, Sr. both of Iota, Steven Hoffpauir and his wife Amy of Crowley, and Aaron Hoffpauir and his wife Tiffany of Bossier City, LA; four sisters, Yvonne Leger of Sulphur, LA, Irene Henry of Iota, Edna Doucet of Metairie, LA, and Mary Hilda Lopez of Eunice; seven brothers, Leo Paul Miller of Iota, Gus Miller of Iota, Rod Miller of Iota, Wilbert Miller of Sulphur, Willard Miller of Jennings, Jesiner Miller of Crowley, Russell Miller of Eunice; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dietz is preceded in death by her first husband, Allen Deaville, Sr.; her son, Allen Deaville, Jr.; one daughter, Katie Mae Deaville, and her parents, Leo and Beatrice Benoit Miller.
