Burial
Obituary: Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Lee Hoffpauir, 71, who died at 11:43 a.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012 in Lafayette surrounded by his family. Rev. Jimmy Broussard will conduct the funeral services and the burial will follow in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Visitation may be observed Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Hoffpauir was born August 21, 1941 to the late Robert Carl and Bernice Morgan Hoffpauir. He worked for Hayes Floor Covering for many years before working for Indian Bayou Elementary School for 26 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by 2 daughters Holly Sanders of Lafayette and Kimberly Keller and her husband Chad of Katy, TX; 4 grandchildren Garett Schexnider, Madison Keller, Bailey Keller and Chad Keller II; a great-grandchild Quinn Schexnider; 3 sisters Bonnie Wright of Metairie, Ann Prescott of Tylertown, MS and Connie Dunlap of Tylertown, MS.Endnotes
