Joseph Blanchard's widow, Anne Hébert and her children were listed as family #25 aboard the ship La Bergère, which arrived in New Orleans on 15 August, 1785.
Her sons were: Laurent (19), woodworker; Pierre (15), printer; Moise (13), printer; Elie (11), printer
And her daughters: Marie (17) and Anne (7)
Anne and her family are shown in the 1788 Census of Lafourche as residing on the right bank, with her son Laurent and his wife, Anne Hebert, living just downstream. Another of her daughters, Marie, who was married to Mathurin Trahan, lived just a few houses upstream.
On 8 August 1793 Anne (widow Blanchard) sold a tract of land containing 6 arpents front, located on the right bank of Bayou Lafourche, bounded above by Louis Aucoin; below by Pierre Blanchard (Pierre was one of her sons). Sold to Michelle St. Amant for $500.00. Laurent Blanchard (her son) gave full acquittance on 1 October 1797.
