INDIAN BAYOU - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at Indian Bayou Methodist Church for Doris Edel Daly Burke, 88, who died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. The Rev. Ross Genger will officiate at the services. Visitation was observed from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8 a.m. today until time of the services. Interment will be in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda K. Bojarski, of Forest Hill, Md., and Marsha B. Sieber, of Lafayette; four sons, Michael Gene Burke, of Houma, Darryl Dean Burke, of Lafayette, Henry Byron Burke, of Houston, and Thomas Don Burke, of Houma; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon Morgan Burke; one daughter, Donna B. Crawley; her parents, Robert and Pearl Dubose Daly; and three sisters, Marjorie Ball, Melba Hollo and Gwen Abramson. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley will be in charge of the arrangements.
