Virginia Belle Foreman

Belle Foreman was Lizzie's best friend. After Lizzie's death, she married Lennox.
INDIAN BAYOU - Funeral services for Virginia Burke, 98, of Indian Bayou, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2001, at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church in Indian Bayou. The Rev. Scott Ginger will officiate at the funeral services.
Interment will be in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou.
A longtime resident of Indian Bayou, Mrs. Burke died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at the Rayne Guest Home in Rayne. She started the programs that aised money to clean the cemetery.
Mrs. Burke was one of the first L.P.N. graduates in the state of Louisiana. She worked at St. Patrick and Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. R.B. (Marie) Huddleston of Lafayette, 11 grandchildren, 24
great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenox Burke; two sons, Mitchell and Charles Burke; one daughter, Margarette Neally; and five grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be observed from noon to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Friday until time of the services. Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne is in charge of the arrangements.
