LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Northwood United Methodist Church, 4530 Moss St., for Mrs. Curtis Donald Hoffpauir, the former Margery Sarah Huckaby Bihm, who died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
The Rev. Darryl Tate, pastor of Northwood United Methodist Church in Lafayette, will conduct the services.
Musical selections will be "How Great Thou Art," sung by Roger Cook, and "The Lord's Prayer," sung by Ginger Burney.
Interment will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hoffpauir, born Sept. 25, 1917, in Church Point, graduated from Baptist Academy in Pilgrim's Rest. She later resided in Lafayette.
She was a member of Northwood United Methodist Church and was active in the Women's Circle, Friendship Club, Young at Heart Club, Disciple Bible Study and Sunday school. She also previously served on the staff parish relations committee.
Survivors include one son, Curtis L. Bihm and his wife, Sandra, of Lafayette; five daughters, Faye Bihm Patterson and her husband, Gerald, of Round Rock, Texas, Florence Bihm Landry and her husband, Sidney Joseph, of New Iberia, Ivy Bihm Strozier and her husband, Bobby, of Trout, Kay Bihm Richard and her husband, Eddie, of Kaplan, and Donna Bihm Gelzinis and her husband, Brian, of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; one brother, Dennis Huckaby, of Nederland, Texas; one sister, Edith LaFleur, of Broussard; 16 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Smylie Huckaby and Agnes Shaw Huckaby; two husbands, Ira Francis Bihm and Curtis Donald Hoffpauir; three brothers, James Huckaby, Albert Huckaby and Hugh Huckaby; and one sister, Lela Carter.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gary Patterson, Greg Patterson, Bryan Strozier, Kaleb Mouton, Michael Bourgeois, Michael Bourgeois Jr., Matthew Bourgeois and Michael Day.
Honorary pallbearers are Michael Landry, Eric Patterson, Wayne Bihm and Clarence Vannoy.
Visiting hours will be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time.
Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, is in charge of the arrangements.
