Funeral services for Lance "Clarence" Avant, 70, of Los Angeles, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 29, in Johnson Funeral Home.
The Rev. Tom Howe will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation is 4:30 - 10 p.m. today, and from 8 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Avant died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, in a Houston hospital.
A native of Lake Charles, he had lived in Los Angeles for many years. He worked as a professional dancer and retired as an interior decorator. Survivors include one sister, Rubye Pearce of Lake Charles. (LCAP on line, 28 Feb 2000)
