Benjamin Faulk was born in what is now Aeadia parish on the old homestead at the Faulk Bridge, a son of Walton and Eliza Faulk. He was married to Josephine Hoffpauir on July 8, 1875. He made his home at what is now Ebenezer, and was engaged in farming throughout his life. He was a life-long and consistent member of the Methodist church, and widely noted for the spiritual quality of his singing and his prayers. He has a host of relatives and friends in this and Acndia parish who mourn his passing. He was a man of unblemished character, with keen sense of right and justice -- ever ready to lift a voice in defense of the feeble and defenseless. We shall not look upon his like again.Endnotes
