CROWLEY — Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for Margie Andrus Cormier, 82, who died Dec. 25, 2003, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Interment will be in Branch Methodist Cemetery. The Rev. James Nguyen will be officiating the services. She is survived by two daughters, Jackie Hoffpauir Ducote and her husband, Robert Garvue, of Baton Rouge, and Janet Romero Cradeur, of Baton Rouge; one son, Johnny Romero, of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cormier was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Romero Jr. and Edward Hoffpauir III; her parents, Joseph and Francis Arceneaux Andrus; and two brothers, Johnnie Andrus and J.W. Andrus Jr. Visitation will be observed from 9:30 a.m. today until time of services. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley is in charge of arrangements. (Daily Advertiser, 27 Dec 2003)
