EDITH COLLINGS GRAEPER died Thursday June 27, 2002. Mrs. Graeper, a long time Houston resident, was a native of Louisiana. She also lived in New York, where she attended Cornell University studying Art. She also attended the University of Houston, obtaining her Real Estate Broker's license. Edie (as her friends knew her) was a member of the Wedding Band Class at Chapelwood Methodist Church and the Texas Star Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Collings and Lacie Hoffpauir Collings of Louisiana; by her brothers, Archie Collings of Indiana, Edwin Collings of Florida, H. Carroll Collings of Louisiana, by her sister, Joyce Collings Dornack of San Antonio, and by her son, David William Graeper of Ithaca, New York. Edie is survived by her husband, William Gahris Graeper of Houston; by her children, Dr. Katherine McMahon and husband Keith McMahon of Alliance, Ohio, and Gray S. Graeper and wife Judy Graeper of Houston; grandchildren Megan, Jesse, and Sarah of Alliance, Ohio, and Gregory, Hannah, William David, and Gavin of Ithaca, New York; sister, Patty DeHaven of Lake Charles, LA, brother, Robert Collings and wife Mildred of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Wanna Finch and husband Joseph of Houston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay, Houston, TX 77024 at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 1, 2002.
