Charles Braud

The crossing from Acadia to France was especially hard on the family of Charles Braud and Marguerite LeBlanc. Marguerite was pregnant with their first child. The couple arrived in Saint-Malo on November 1, 1758, On November 13, Marguerite gave birth to their daughter, Jeanne Francoise. Jeanne died three days later, on November 16. On December 12 of that same year, Charles Braud died. Young Marguerite was to later remarry a young widower, Andre Templet, on September 10, 1759. By marrying Andre, Marguerite was to bear 9 additional children, including my gggg-grandfather, Charles Casimire Templet.
