Notes
Burial
Obituary: DeTogne, Olga, 91, of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2014, a mere two months after the passing of her beloved Albert, husband of 68 years: Olga was a loving mother to daughter, Claire St. John; son, Tom DeTogne, and daughter, JoNell Sutton, who preceded her in death. She was sister to James Hinckley of Vick, Louisiana and grandmother of Cessie, Ashley, Morgan, Michael, and Max. Born in 1923 in Gena, Louisiana, Olga grew up a tomboy and an artist. She met Bert during his service in World War II when he was stationed in Louisiana. In 1946 they were married, and they settled in Waukegan, Illinois, where they raised their family. Olga was devoted to her church, Living Faith United Methodist Church in Waukegan. She loved pottery, camping, dancing, singing, and ice cream. She was a wonderful writer and brought smiles to many faces with her poetry and stories. Olga's spirit and her zest for life will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Memorial service plans will be announced at a later date.Endnotes
