Burial

Obituary: Lauraett, age 85, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Ponchatoula, she was a school bus driver with Tangipahoa School System, and she enjoyed volunteering with North Oaks Hospice for many years. She loved to take vacations with her family and enjoyed the many dinner dates at China Lotus. Lauraett was known for being a very caring and selfless social butterfly, who never met a stranger and will be missed dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Brownlow and husband Kenny; sisters, Vicky Brashier and husband Raymond, Sybil Bueto and husband Oscar; grandchildren, Pamela Brownlow and Jase Brownlow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lauraett is preceded in death by her husband, David Hoffpauir; parents, Esther and Ottis Leo Clark; brothers, Charles Clark and Robert Clark; as well as her sister, Lorraine Arthurs. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice in honor of Mrs. Lauraett Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ponchatoula cemetery.
