Death
Obituary: OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1:00p.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Opelousas for Oner Grace Cushman Tatman, age 97, who passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Perry Hubbs, pastor of First Baptist of Opelousas, will officiate at the services. Mrs. Tatman was a native of Opelousas and a resident of Opelousas. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Port Barre. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Billeaudeau and her husband, Gary,of Opelousas and Wanda Inman and her husband, Bill, of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Mary Lou Hutchins; one brother-in-law, Jim Tatman; one sister-in-law, Violet Cushman; one special relative, Owen Hornsby of Washington; five grandchildren, Cheri Sibille and her husband, Glen, of Opelousas, Troy Billeaudeau of Opelousas, Pamela Bischoff and her husband, Ben, of Eunice, Dana Rachal and her husband, Steve, of Baton Rouge and Cathy Eschete and her husband, Dylan, of Pineville; thirteen greatgrandchildren; and four great, great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, A.E. "Buddy" Tatman, Jr.; her parents, Charlie Cushman and the former, Jacintha Hoffpauir; three brothers, Charles Cushman, Luther Cushman and James Cushman; one sister, Lucille Campbell; one grandson, Michael Kent Billeaudeau, and one great grandchild, Sarah Sibille. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time on Tuesday. The family would to extend a special thanks to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and Dr. Michael Burnell.
