Obituary: Marc Dayne Champagne passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 57, a native of New Iberia and a resident of Denham Springs. He is Survived by his wife; Lorette Flowers Champagne of Denham Springs, mother; Judy Savoie Champagne of Baton Rouge, adoptive father; Steve Andrew Champagne and wife Milda of Marthaville, son; Marc D. Champagne II of Livingston, stepson; Peyton Ladd Lewis of Walker, brothers; Dexter James Champagne of Mansura, Chad Champagne of Holden and Blaine Andrew Champagne of Walker, 4 grandchildren; Nicholas, Chance, Ethan and Philip, he was preceded in death by father; Alfred Joseph Dore' and maternal grandparents; Oswald and Elita Hoffpauir Savoie. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. on Friday, January 20, 2017 beginning at 9:00 am until services in funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm conducted by Rev. Tom Bougher with internment in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Baker. Pallbearers will be; Marc Champagne, II, Peyton Lewis, Dexter Champagne, Chad Champagne, Blaine Champagne and Joey Jolly. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Champagne and Bruce Templet. Special thanks for the kind and compassionate care given by his doctor; Derrick Spell, M.D. and the staff of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Audubon Hospice and The Crossing. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
