Obituary: PEORIA - Sandra D. (Dunivan) Marsiglia, age 53, formerly of Peoria, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, at her home in Lake Charles, La. Sandy was a native of Peoria, Ill., and a resident of Lake Charles, La., for over 32 years. Sandy arrived in Lake Charles and was employed first by The Premises, and then by Cafe Margeaux for 15 years, before embarking on a new career with Boudreaux's New Drug Store as a pharmaceutical tech for seven years. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Sam Marsiglia; her daughter, Samantha M. Marsiglia; two stepdaughters, Rachael Marsiglia Menard and Amy Marsiglia Lavin; and four grandchildren, Gavyn and Dylan Menard and Jackson Lavin and Ronan Suire. She is also survived by her sister, Pamela Van Gossen, and her niece, Shelby Hoffpauir of Westlake; sister, Debbie Rohman (Steve); and her brothers, Gary Dunivan of Peoria, Ill., and Jack Dunivan of Las Vegas, Nev.; as well as nieces, Angela Picardi-Hagerdorn and Amanda Rohman Coffey, and great-nieces in Peoria. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois A Dunivan; her father, Richard Dunivan; and her mother-in-law, Mary Marsiglia of Lafayette. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. today, March 19, 2014, in the chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robin Norris officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of service. Mrs. Marsiglia's cremation has been entrusted to Lakeside Funeral Home.
