Obituary: Ella Marie Vaughan, 93, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 29, 2013, at College Street Health Care Center, Beaumont. A native of Morse, Louisiana, she was born to Elmaza Hoffpauir Benoit and Odelon Benoit, on July 4, 1920. She retired as a cosmetic clerk from Eckerds Drug Store with over thirty years of service. Survivors include her children, Bobby Vaughan and his wife, Alice, of China; Reverend Richard Vaughan and his wife, Annette, of Lumberton; Tommy Bergeron and his wife, Sandra, of Beaumont; Bertha O'Neill and her husband, Bill, of Beaumont; and Eddie Vaughan and his wife, Nina, of Beaumont; sister, Vergie Boudreaux; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Vaughan; son, Lee Roy Bergeron; parents; and numerous brother and sisters. A gathering of Mrs. Vaughan's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2013, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
