Burial
Obituary: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at theEbenezer Nazarene Church for Karen Petry Hayes, 62, who died at 6:20 A.M.
Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Crowley. Pastor Joe Talhelm will officiate for the
funeral services and the burial at the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Visitation
may be observed at the Ebenezer Nazarene Church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m.
until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. She is survived by
her husband George R. Hayes of Indian Bayou; 5 stepchildren Mike J. Hayes and
wife Mary of Indian Bayou, Suzie H. Broussard and husband Darren of Maurice,
Kim R. Hayes and wife Brandy of Crowley, Christopher R. Hayes and wife Laura
of Indian Bayou and Shawn Hayes and wife Courtney of Indian Bayou;
grandchildren Chad, Eric and Blake Hayes, Laura Vetter, Robert McBeth, Erin
and Jared Broussard, Emma Grace Hayes, Abigail Hayes, Saul Hayes, Nathan
Hayes, Christian Hayes, Emma Rene Hayes, Zach and Chloe Pettigrew; three
great-grandchildren - Kaleb Hayes, Logan Hayes and Vincent McBeth; 4 sisters
Melba Petry of Crowley, Shirley Rosinski of Crowley, Beverly Petry of Crowley
and Sharon Gawthorp of Ebenezer; 2 brothers Jeffery Petry of Ebenezer and
Donald Petry of Indian Bayou; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents Creighton and Lena Faulk Petry of Ebenezer
and a sister Wanda Hoffman of Indian Bayou.
